1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using this website or any services provided through this platform, you (“you,” “user,” or “client”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not accept these Terms, you must immediately cease using the website and any associated services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the service.
2. Nature of Services
517HomePro is a service referral platform that connects homeowners and property owners (“Clients”) with independently licensed and insured service providers (“Service Providers” or “Contractors”) for services including but not limited to general repairs, maintenance, remodeling, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and other residential and commercial services.
517HomePro:
Does not perform contracting work directly;
Does not employ any of the contractors listed on our platform;
Does not supervise or guarantee the work performed by Service Providers;
Facilitates referrals only.
3. Independent Contractor Relationship
All Service Providers listed or referred through 517HomePro are independent contractors. No Service Provider is an employee, agent, partner, joint venturer, or representative of 517HomePro.
We are not responsible or liable for:
The performance, quality, safety, legality, or timeliness of work provided;
Any damages caused by or to Service Providers;
Any contractual disputes between you and the Service Provider.
4. Licensing, Insurance, and Background Checks
517HomePro takes reasonable steps to verify that referred Service Providers:
Possess proper licenses or certifications, where required by law;
Carry general liability and/or workers’ compensation insurance (upon availability);
Are subject to screening, including public background checks and professional reference reviews.
However, we do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or continued validity of this information. It is ultimately the Client’s responsibility to verify licensing, insurance, qualifications, and references before engaging any Service Provider.
5. No Guarantee or Warranty
517HomePro makes no express or implied warranties regarding the services provided by referred contractors. All service agreements, timelines, warranties, and guarantees are solely between the Client and the Service Provider.
You understand and agree that:
Services are provided “as is” and “as available”;
517HomePro is not liable for damages, delays, missed appointments, faulty workmanship, property damage, injuries, or uncompleted jobs;
You release 517HomePro and its affiliates from any and all liability arising from your use of or interaction with referred Service Providers.
6. Estimates and Pricing
All price estimates, project quotes, or budget projections provided via 517HomePro (online or by phone/email) are for informational purposes only and may not reflect the final price of any job.
Final quotes are determined solely by the Service Provider and must be agreed upon between the Client and Service Provider prior to work beginning.
517HomePro is not responsible for billing disputes or payment arrangements between Clients and Service Providers.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 517HomePro, its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Loss of use, data, business, revenue, or profits;
Property damage;
Personal injury or wrongful death;
Breach of contract between Client and Service Provider;
Errors or omissions in any content or service.
8. Client Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
Provide accurate, up-to-date contact and service information;
Ensure safe, legal, and accessible conditions at the job site;
Comply with all reasonable requests made by the Service Provider for project completion;
Address complaints or disputes directly with the contractor first, before requesting 517HomePro’s assistance.
9. Dispute Resolution
While we encourage amicable resolution of disputes, 517HomePro is not a party to any service contract between you and any Service Provider and is not obligated to mediate any disputes.
If you experience a major issue with a referred contractor, you may notify us and we will consider removing the provider from our network if misconduct is verified.
10. Payments and Refunds
517HomePro may charge referral or lead fees to Service Providers or display pricing estimates on behalf of contractors. Unless explicitly stated in writing, 517HomePro does not collect payment on behalf of Service Providers and does not issue refunds for services rendered by contractors.
Any payment issues, refunds, or financing agreements are solely between the Client and Service Provider.
11. Termination of Access
We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend access, or terminate accounts at our sole discretion for violations of these Terms or for conduct that we deem harmful to our business or to other users.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including logos, text, design, trademarks, and imagery, are the property of 517HomePro or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without express written permission.
13. Modifications to Terms
517HomePro reserves the right to update or revise these Terms at any time, with or without notice. Continued use of the website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ingham County, Michigan , and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
